War draws nearer

Today exactly 100 years ago Leo Kilcoin was at work as usual at the Central Telegraph Office. Today Germany had issued a 24 ultimatum to Russia to stop their troop movements together with an 18 hour ultimatum to France promising neutrality in the event of war. Travelling home to his wife and baby boy in their north London home he must have wondered as a reservist how this was all going to affect him. In just four days time he would find out and start to write his daily diary describing his part in the war to end all wars.
I will be trying to maintain a daily release of the diary from then but understand that the software I am using can sometimes have a mind of its own . In this event, if away from home I shall hunt down the nearest pub with wi fi to keep you up to date (We sometimes have to suffer these little hardships ! )
